To all you incredible people,
With September behind us, we wanted to share the amount of money raised and where it is being used. Through your kind donations we managed to raise an amazing £1,000 which, in local currency equates to 124,878 KES! These funds enabled us to purchase and deliver a shipment of 132 Cow & Gate baby formula milk tins.
So what have we been doing?
The summer that has just passed was a very busy period indeed. We have been working hard behind the scenes in getting our processes and strategies aligned to ensure Giffti runs as smoothly as possible, online and on the ground in Kenya.
With obstacles such as the Kenya Presidential Elections, the Ukrainian War and the state of the UK economy all of these have had an effect on our model the past few months. From stock shortages for formula milk and nappies to the wholesalers being closed due to the elections, right the way down to the pound dropping against the doillar, which meant we are getting less value for money. With all these factors to consider, we still maintain our promise each month to deliver milk and nappies from various suppliers and resources.
As we move into October, we feel we are now in a position to promote Giffti more so through various channels including our Instagram page. As a result we will be sharing monthly updates through social media and on our website.
To help us continue this beautiful project of giving children the best start in life, please share Giffti with your friends and family. We are open to ideas and input as without you, Giffti would not be possible.
