How the story started in Nairobi Kenya.
“Seva” which means selfless service, is a principle that has been instilled in me from a young age due to my Sikh upbringing. I have learnt that there is more joy in giving than receiving. It is absolutely necessary to support those less well off so that the world becomes a more equal place. I want all children to have the best possible upbringing, but at the very least the basic essentials that they deserve.
My parents grew up in Nairobi, Kenya and on a family trip there in 2018, we were introduced to Mogra Childrens Home by Late Sadhu Singh Sirha.
He took us to the home to donate food and spend quality time with orphaned and abandoned children. He and his wife did this for years before their passing. This act of kindness inspired me to get involved by donating to the home monthly and helping with small projects over the years.
