Mogra Children’s home
Mogra Rescue Centre is a children’s home in Nairobi, Kenya, that caters to orphans, abandoned, homeless and poverty-stricken children. After our team visited Mogra Rescue Centre in 2019, we have supported with the help of friends and family. However, Covid-19 had a tremendous negative effect on the Kenyan economy and the centre is in need of drastic help to even feed the children.
Our team have identified the main priority in support should be babies aged 0-18 months and toddlers and ensuring they have the the correct formula milk which is a replacement to their much needed mothers’ milk.
The children receive high quality formula milk to guarantee a good start to their precious lives. The milk is a monthly cost which needs to be sustained and provide to each child until they are at an age to eat food.
The next biggest cost is sanitisation and hygiene of the children which can be supported by providing clean nappies. The nappies will be purchased in bulk to reduce unit costs. We will also be supporting the centre with healthy snacks and treats for the rest of the children.
Once we have sustained the ongoing costs for formula milk, nappies and healthy snacks, we will then evaluate the next phase of the the project. Our team in Nairobi will be continually monitoring the project with updates and evaluations.
Your gift will contribute to our vital work across our projects to help provide children with basic essentials in the first and most crucial phase of life. By donating to Giffti, we allocate funds to our live projects and ensure every penny is used to create smiles. We will keep you updated on our progress.
